This thesis studies the discourse of the frensh weekly newspapers concerning the increacing islamism. This discourse has been studied through four events : the iranian revolution, the russhdie affair, the veil affair and increacing islamism mouvement in algeria. The first part concerns three chapters and is decoted to the distribution and contents of the titles, percentage, titles of the first pages, titles of the interior pages. . . The second chapter examines the involved people : number, cathegories and action gools. The third chapter analysis the places and the keywords : number cathegories and appesring periods. The second past is devoted to the distribution and to the contents of pictures. Thefirst chapter is a study of the number and the pictures. The second chapter the behavior of the characters is analysied. The third part concerns the study of articles using thematic analysis. Three main subjects are treated : the domestic policy of the two countries affected by islamism increasing (iran, algeria), the international consequences of this islamism rise, and islam with the political power.

Cette these etudie le discours de la presse hedomadaire francaise d'information generale concernant la montee de l'islamisme. Ce discours est etudie a travers quatre evenements : la revolution iranienne, l'affaire rusdie, l'affaire du voile et la montee de l'islamisme en algerie. La premiere partie, consacree a la repartition et au contenu des titres, s'articule autour de trois chapitres. Le premier analyse les donnees quantitatives : nombre de titres, pourcentage, titres de couverture, titres des pages interieures, etc. Le second etudie les personnages : nombre, categories et roles actantiels. Le troisieme analyse les lieux et mots -cles : nombre, categories et periodes d'apparition. La deuxieme partie, consacree a la repartitioin et au contenu des illustrations ; etudie dans un premier chapitre le nombre et les genres d'illustrations. Dans le second est etudie le fonctionnement des personnages. La troisieme partie porte sur l'etude des rextes a l'aide de l'analyse thematique. Trois grands themes sont degages. Il s'agit de la politique interieure des deux pays concernes par la montee de l'islamisme (l'iran et l'algerie), les consequences internationales de cette montee et l'islam et le pouvoir politique.
