Grounded on an original collection of comprehensive interviews, this research contributes to better know fatherhood. After bifocalisation, we consider the visits rhythm and the financial contribution as well as the telephonic relations and the father's part into his children's upbringing and education. In a perinatal context, we approach the implication of the becoming father into pregnancy as well as the care and nursing of the nursling. This research also explore how children can take part into the construction fo their father's identity. Before the childbirth, the pregnancy steps help to understand how the paternity feeling builds itself up, gradually, from various elements coming from the child himself. Bifocalisation gives the limits of the children as their father's significant others. The conciliation of different dimensions of the father's identity gives a good indication of the position granted to its children, and the strength as significant other he grants them.

S'appuyant sur des entretiens compréhensifs, cette recherche contribue à mieux connaître la paternité. Dans un contexte de bifocalisation, nous abordons aussi bien le rythme des visites et la contribution financière que les relations téléphoniques et l'éducation. Dans un contexte de périnatalité, nous abordons l'implication du père en devenir dans le suivi de la grossesse ainsi que dans le travail de soins après la naissance du nourrisson. Nous explorons aussi la manière dont les enfants participent à la construction de l'identité paternelle. Le suivi de la grossesse fait comprendre comment le sentiment d'être père se construit, progressivement, à partir d'éléments émanant de l'enfant. La bifocalisation pose les limites de la place des enfants comme autrui significatifs de leur père. La conciliation de différentes dimensions de l'identité du père fournit un bon indicateur de la place qu'il accorde à ses enfants, et de la force d'autrui significatif dont il les investit.
