Based on feldwork and numerous interviews, the research focuses on mexican and mexican american migrant and seasonal farmworkers in colorado from 1965 to 1988. After having defined the general background of the study, it traces back the struggles of these workers during the 60s which was stimulated by and yet dfferent from the movement initiated in california by cesar chavez to unionize agricultural workers. It analyzes the reasons why mexican and mexican american migrant and seasonal farmworkers, once at the center of national attention, have returned to "invisibility".

A partir d'une etude menee sur le terrain, la recherche etudie les ouvriers itinerants mexicains et mexicains americains dans l'un des etats du sud-ouest, le colorado, de 1965 a 1988. Apres avoir fixe le cadre general du travail par rapport a l'immigration mexicaine et a l'agriculture americaine, elle suit l'histoire de ces ouvriers au colorado dans les annees 60 pour ensuite tracer le retour a l'invisibilite qui caracterise leur situation actuelle.
