This thesis is a study of the palestinian question from a sociological and a strategical point of view. This socio-strategical approach intends to deal with the question of the emergency of the principle of the palestinian entity and the crystallization of the idea of palestinian territorial state. The plo has played an important role in the restoration of the unity of the palestinian people in spite of the exile, the dispersion of the palestinian community and the diversity f their social and cultural character. This organization became a socio-political agent and an acting power who imposed control and inspired political loyalty. Thus this thesis studies the establishment of a processus of a palestinian nation-building which becomes a regional and an international reality.

Cette these se propose d'etudier la question palestinienne dans son environnement sociologique et ses composantes culturelles. Cette question est prise comme un champ privilegie ou s'operent l'emergence et la constitution de l'identite palestinienne. La these se focalise sur la contribution de l'olp a la restauration de l'unite d'une societe disloquee. Une societe morcelee par le fait de la dispersion d'une grande partie des palestiniens dans la diaspora, la diversite des milieux socio-culturels des pays d'accueil et l'ingerence des pays arabes dans les affaires palestiniennes. Cette these traite la question de la guerre en tant que praxis social cristallisant l'entite politique ou oeuvrant a sa disparition. Si la guerre de 1948 a detruit l'entite palestinienne, la guerre declenchee par le mnp a partir des annees soixantes a favorise sa renaissance.
