The north korean communist regime subsists still in spite of the collapse of the east european and soviet communism. Moreover, it has established nearly a "kingdom" of a communist style by the hereditary succession of the political power. Where does this particular phenomenon come from? it undoubtedly comes from the fact that a regime of a totalitarian character cleverly executes propaganda and control of thought within the popular mass in closing strictly its frontiers. Particularly, no north korean people can escape the organisational life : the population's everydays life is in fact enclosed, canalized and mobilized by the structures of the party and mass organizations. In order to to analyse how the north korean regime executes propaganda and control of thought - the principal factors of the resistance of the communis t system - this thesis deals principally with the system of the unique ideology of the party, the ruling role of the party, the instrument of propaganda which are monopolized by the party-stage. We examine also same features of the north korean propaganda in the political and economical spheres and in the field of the foreign policy.

Le regime communiste nord-coreen subsiste encore en depit de l'effondrement du communisme reel de l'europe de l'est et de l'union sovietique. De plus, il a presque etabli un "royaume" de style communiste par la succession hereditaire du pouvoir politique. D'ou derive ce phenomene particulier? il provient sans doute du fait que le regime de caractere totalitaire effectue habilement la propagande et le controle de pensee au sein des masses populaires tout en fermant ses frontieres. Surtout, tout le peuple nord-coreen n'echappe pas a la vie organisationnelle : la vie quotidienne de la population est en fait encadree, canalisee et mobilisee par les structures du parti et des organisations de masse. Pour analyser comme le regime nord-coreen effectue la propagande et le controle de pensee, facteurs principaux de resistance du systeme communiste, cette these traite, en particulier, le systeme de l'ideologie unique du parti, le role dirigeant du parti, les instruments de propagande parfaitement monopolises par le parti-etat. Nous examinons aussi quelques traits caracteristiques de la propagande nord-coreenne dans les domaines politique et economique, et de la politique exterieure
