Représentation des activités de travail et hors travail : étude inter-culturelle et socio-professionnelle

The investigation of work and non-work activities' representations is central in view of the qualitative, quantitative and structural transformations occurring in the modern human being's life. The results indicate (1) that the relations between work and non-work structures are multi-dimensional, (2) and that different processes of causality between work and non-work activities exist in the same life space and are operating at different levels of application. The cultural appurtenance influences more the representation of non-work, whereas the appurtenance to an occupational and social class influences more the representation of work.

Les changements qualitatifs, quantitatifs et structurel, dans le cadre de vie global de l'individu moderne, nous ont amenes a etudier les representations du travail et du hors travail. Cette etude revele que les inter-relations entre ces cadres de vie (travail et hors travail) sont multidimensionnelles. Ces inter-relations sont soumises a differents processus de causalite operant simultanement a des degres d'influence multiples. L'appartenance a une culture semble davantage influencer les representations du hors travail, tandis que l'appartenance socio-professionnelle influence plutot les representations du travail.
