The objective of this study is to understand how health and work are interwoven in employees' social experience, in the context of the casualisation of work and of changes in work organisation. Three levels of enquiry were used to investigate various aspects of the social construction of the links between health, work and casualisation. 50 telephone interviews with occupational doctors were carried out in order to analyze their representations and practices, and to recruit 200 employees who have answered a questionnaire. The statistical enquiry shows the variety of both health and work experiences. Finally, 30 detailed interviews with employees were carried out in order to cross examine their experiences of work and health. The biographical approach makes it possible to understand how the interweaving between work and health is perceived and reconstructed by the employees at different moments in the course of their lives.

Cette recherche vise à comprendre comment la santé et le travail s'articulent au fil de l'expérience sociale des salariés, dans le contexte des dynamiques de précarisation du travail et de l'emploi. Trois volets d'enquête éclairent différents registres de construction sociale des liens santé-travail-précarisation. 50 entretiens téléphoniques avec des médecins du travail ont permis d'analyser le point de vue de ces professionnels de la santé au travail, et de recruter une population de 200 salariés interrogés par questionnaire. L'enquête statistique montre la diversité des situations et des parcours en matière de santé et d'intégration professionnelle. Enfin, des entretiens approfondis ont été réalisés avec 30 salariés, afin d'analyser leurs expériences croisées de santé et de travail. L'analyse des récits recueillis permet de comprendre comment les liens santé-travail sont perçus et mis en forme par les salariés à différents moments de leurs parcours.
