Treating, since Ancient Times, has been steadily moving between magic and technical efficiency. Treating, spontaneously refers to the patient, who has become the centre of the medical acts carried out in the hospital. The sphere of hospital treatment consists of a great number of agents whose aim would be to treat. In fact we realize that treating is a social construction, a socio-historical construction. Habits sociology allows to define the field's advancement in time and to trace out the path of hospital agents. Hospital treatment has undergone an evolution leading from a religious and republican line to a commercial one. The State wants to manage the hospital field. And on the field several measures clearly indicate the State's will. At the turn of the 20th century, treatment is greatly balkanized. Even if the sharing has a medical origin, it is nevertheless backed up by all the hospital agents who use treatment as an interest in the public hospital field. The question of knowing whether it is relevant to study treatment while considering the sick as an object is disturbing and seems to be replaced by the " illusio " which provides a better explanation for the behaviour of the different agents involved in treatments.
