The concept of trauma is main core around which ferenczi's xork has been built. This concept comprises a good many determining factors, such as the "introjection" of the adult who is the child's aggressor and of the adult who will disavow the child, a disavowal which will result in the splitting of the ego. Ferenczi's terminology has a meaning which is not always the same as the one generally found in the other authors of psychoanalysis, which will give his trauma theory a most peculiar and complex aspect, as far as the fate of representation of the traumatic event is concerned. Ferenczi, an analyst of difficult cases, offers, with his theory of trauma, a new understanding of psychosid. Thus, not only does he contribute to the theoretical literature of psychoanlysis, but, with the purpose of creating a suitable technique, he also always asks the most current questions regarding the difficulties that the psychoanalyst faces in his pradtice. The same occurs in regard to the patient's experiences during his treatment.

Le concept de trauma est l'axe central autour duquel s'est construit l'oeuvre de ferenczi. Ce concept comporte plusieurs facteurs determinants tels que l'"introjection" de l'adulte qui est l'agresseur de l'enfant et de l'adulte qui desavouera l'enfant, desaveu dont la consequence sera le clivage du moi. La terminologie employee par l'auteur a un sens qui n'est pas toujours celui qu'utilise generalement les autres auteurs de la psychanalyse, ce qui donnera a sa theorie du trauma un aspect tout a fait particulier et complexe en ce qui concerne le destin de la representation de l'evenement du trauma. Ferenczi, analyste des cas difficiles, avec sa theorie du trauma apporte une nouvelle comprehension de la psychose. De ce fait, il n'a pas seulement beaucoup contribue au corpus theorique de la psychanalyse mais aussi, dans le but de creer une technique adequate, il pose des questions toujours actuelles en ce qui concerne les difficultes que le psychanalyste rencontre dans l'exercice de son metier. Il en est de meme en ce qui concerne le vecu du patient pendant la cure.
