This study is an attempt to conceptualise the notion of collective imaginary represention so as to account for the subconsious problematics of a small occupational group. It shows how the concept is formed and generated and to which need it responds. Every occupational team speaks and acts in a certain way. What it says and does takes intentions and occupational aims. The team is thus giving voice to the collective imaginary representation. The exploration of two pedagogical fields (a team of teacher trainers at university level and a group of avant-garde primary school teachers) yields these findings : a. A content can be ascribed to the collective representation of the restricted group, b. We can see how these representations circulate between the individual members of the group and the group to which they belong in the team, c. Finally it establishs that this collective representation functions according to certain laws within the affective economy of an occupationaly situated team.

Cette recherche est une conceptualisation de la notion d'imaginaire collectif pour rendre compte de la problematique collective inconsciente d'un groupe restreint social-reel. Elle est une definition de la genese (comment il se forme et se produit) et de la fonction (a quel besoin il repond) du concept. Toute equipe professionnelle tient des discours et realise des pratiques qui prennent sens sur une scene manifeste : celles de leurs intentions et de leurs projets professionnels. Ce faisant, cette equipe parle une problematique collective imaginaire. A partir d'une exploration menee sur deux terrains pedagogiques, l'equipe des responsables d'un centre de formation universitaire et le groupe d'instituteurs d'une ecole a pedagogie nouvelle, la recherche poursuit les objectifs suivants : - donner une configuration au contenu de l'imaginaire collectif du groupe restreint considere. - eclairer la circulation imaginaire entre l'individu et le groupe restreint auquel il appartient dans une equipe. - etablir des lois de fonctionnement de l'imaginaire collectif dans l'economie affective d'une equipe en situation professionnelle.
