This thesis is formed of four main parts. The first part recalls the life of one of the main pioneers of psycho-analysis, karl abraham, as well as his relations with freud whom he has been a friend and follower of since their first meeting in 1907 and until his death in december 1925. His whole work, written in berlin during this period, is thus uncovered, as well as some works carried out in common with freud. As for the two last parts, they include approximately fourty texts by abraham which are analysed and annotated. They represent his main contri -butions to applied psycho-analysis, psychopathology as well as clinical and theorical psycho-analysis. The elaboration of these discoveries is here recounted in the two last parts. For a large majority of them, they have merged into today's psycho-analysis.

Cette these se divise en quatre grandes parties. Dans la premiere est retracee la vie de karl abraham, l'un des principaux pionniers de la psychanalyse, ainsi que sa relation a freud dont il fut l'ami et le disciple des leur premiere rencontre en 1907 et jusqu'a sa mort en 1925. C'est toute son oeuvre, ecrite a berlin durant cette periode, que l'on decouvre ainsi que certains travaux realises en commun avec freud. Quant aux deux dernieres parties, elles contiennent une quarantaine de textes qui sont analyses et commentes. Ceux-ci representent ses principa-les contributions a la psychanalyse appliquee, a la psychopathologie ainsi qu'a la psychanalyse clinique et theorique. C'est l'elaboration de ces decouvertes qui est retracee dans les deux dernieres parties. Elles se sont fondues en grande majorite dans la psychanalyse d'aujourd'hui.
