The second topic, the introduction of the death impluse, the turning-point of the Twenties, brought about a split wiwthin the analytical movement. What is the status of the Ego and its function in the theoreticel fields of psychoanalysis which have become many, and within the divergent clinical practisis? Through the cures of Dora, the Rat man, Wortis for Freud and Bouvet, Kris, Kohut, Sharpe, and Guntrip's cases, we will examine the effects on the Ego in the process of the cure. Does laying the stress on the Ego amount to a blurring of the frontier between psychoanalysis and psychotherapie, a playing of identification against transference, in other words, a blunting of the Freudian culting edge?

La seconde topique, l'introduction de la pulsion de mort, le tournant des années 20 ont créé un clivage dans la mouvement analytique. Quel est le statut du moi et sa fonction dans les champs théoriques désormais pluriels constituant les orientations de la psychanalyse après Freud et les pratiques cliniques divergentes qu'il encadre? A travers les curs de Dora, l'homme aux rats, Wortis pour Freud et des cas de Bouvet, Kris, Sharpe, Guntrip, nous localisons les incidences du moi dans leur déroulement. Accentuer la primauté du moi équivaut-il à estomper l'écart entre psychanalyse et psychothérapie, jouer l'identification contre le transfert, bref à émousser le tranchant freudien
