Un militantisme rénové ? : image réflexive des nouveaux comportements politiques à travers l'étude de quatre associations

Four organizations : Droits devant !!, ProChoix, l'Ardhis and Attac, the first one is focussed on what is called in France "the struggle of the have not" (the struggle of those who have no home, no official documents, no job), the second and the third ones are more "communitarian" movements for they defend homosexual rights (and more precisely illegal homosexual foreigners for Ardhis) while Attac is an association against globalization defending the idea of a taxation of transnational financial moves. Despite obvious differences, there is a unifying factor : all these organizations belong to what is called the "New Social Movements", as they have been analyzed by Alain Touraine. While the interest of such a research is to deal with mobilizations which are still struggling to find their own definition, it is also a challenge, since it makes it compulsory to create the instruments that allow to grasp their very features. The relation to structure and ideology have been totally renewed.

Quatre associations : Droits devant !!, ProChoix, l'Ardhis (Association pour la reconnaissance des droits des personnes homosexuelles et transsexuelles à l'immigration et au séjour) et Attac (Association pour une taxation des transactions financières pour l'aide aux citoyens), la première consacrée à ce qu'elle appelle la lutte des "sans" (sans-papiers, sans logis, sans travail. . . ), la seconde et la troisième à des luttes plus communautaires axées notamment sur la question de l'homosexualité et plus précisément de l'homosexualité des sans-papiers pour l'Ardhis et enfin la dernière à la taxation des transactions de capitaux. Au delà des différences, une unité ? Celle évidente, des "Nouveaux Mouvements Sociaux" tels que théorisé par Alain Touraine. Là est l'intérêt de la recherche, travailler sur des mobilisations en train de se définir, là est aussi le défi : forger des instruments qui permettent d'en saisir les contours. La relation à la structure, à l'idéologie a été rénovée.
