With the war of independence Algeria became internationally known. With the accession of Houari Boumediene at the head of the country, his national and international policy made it more outstanding. The aim of this study is to reveal the personality of Boumediene, his ideals, his objectives, his achievement, his errors.

Avec la guerre d'indépendance, l'Algérie devint internationalement connue. L'accession de Houari Boumediene à la tète du pays, sa politique nationale et internationale, lui donnèrent un écho plus grand encore. Ce travail s'attache à découvrir l'homme, ses idéaux, ses objectifs politiques, ses réalisations, ses échecs.
