Abstract FR:
The purpose of this paper is to show, by using the example of Poland and its relations with the EC, that the countries of Central and Western Europe have a common future. After having presented the historical origins of Poland, the policies that have influenced the transformation of its economy and their results, we describe the evolution of the relations between Poland and the EC as illustrated by the first agreements that were endowed with political significance and various types of western financial support. A distinction is drawn between CE pre-adhesion and accession strategies. We examine Germany's and France's attitudes concerning the admission of new States into the EC. . .
