Lebanon has always been a harbour of trade, of free exchange and free traffic. The "bank" there grew and reached an increasing level, unequalled all over the near and the middle-east. As long as things were in that state, the political power and the financial power intermixed within most complicated socio-economical surroundings. What are, however, the limits of such a link? that is the subject we purposed to study anyhow in our thesis. Given this, since 1975, as the politico-military context went on more and more degrading, there have been in the bank-community so many variations that what was to happen in such a case, happened indeed: that is, the quasi-bankrupt of the state in lebanon, the downfall of the national pound and the impoverishment of the lebanese people. Those are some the main sequels outcoming directly from the endless series of war that ruins the country. Therefore, we have tried as much as possible, to examine the situation we came to, and to suggest by the bye some means helping to get out of the actual economic crisis, on the condition, however, that the arms stop ultimately firing.

Le liban etait depuis toujours une oasis de commerce, de libre echange et de libre circulation. La "banque" y evolue et atteint un niveau de croissance incomparable dans tout le proche et le moyenorient. Dans cet etat de chose, le pouvoir politique et le pouvoir financier s'entremelent dans une ambiance socio-economique tres complexe. Quelles sont les limites de ce lien? c'est ce que nous avons envisage d'etudier en quelque sorte dans cette these. Cela dit, depuis 1975, il y a eu tant de changements sur le marche bancaire au moment ou le contexte politico-militaire se degradait de plus en plus jusqu'a ce qu'on arrive, a l'heure actuelle, a la quasi-faillite de l'etat au liban, a l'effondrement de la livre nationale et a l'appauvrissement du libanais. D'ou les consequences directes de la serie de guerres qu'a connues le pays. Par la, nous avons essaye, autant que possible, d'analyser la situation ou nous sommes, tout en proposant parfois quelques reflexions pour sortir de la crise economique en cours, toutefois a condition que les armes decident vraiment de se taire.
