On the basis of the archives of the Leagues of Nations and the United Nations, this thesis studies the historical process of International drugs control for the year 1921 to 1999. The author focuses especially on the legal aspects of this control and reveals that it is governed primally by economic interests. Furthermore, a close analysis of Human actors shows that the system of control was governed by a small group of actors.

Appuyé sur les archives de la Société des Nations-Unies, ce travail examine le processus historique de la construction du Contrôle international des drogues entre 1921 et 1999. L'accent est plus particulièrement mis sur les aspects licites du phénomène et notamment les enjeux économiques. Une analyse détaillée des acteurs humains montre que le Contrôle international des drogues a été édifié par une poignée d'individus.
