Les relations entre la Jordanie et les populations Palestiniennes : un facteur de stabilité au Proche-Orient

The relations between Jordan and the Palestinian find her rooted in the modern history at the beginning of twentieth century. A relation which become stronger after the birth of the State of Israel in 1948, and the two exoduses of Palestinian refugees towards Jordan in 1948 and 1967. Their relations has been reinforced because of the geographic, social, economic and demographic facts, the annexation of the West Bank by King Abdallah in 1950, and the according of Jordanian nationality to the Palestinians in 1950, gives this relation a "legal" birth in the territorial and human aspect. The decision of Disengagement in 1988 put an end to the territorial relation, a step which supports the Palestinian fight. This study presents the evolution of Jordanian — Palestinian relations through history. The current peace process between the Israelis and Palestinians, which could bring about an independent Palestinian state, requires the restructure of this relation in order to be of mutual benefit.

Les relations entre la Jordanie et les Palestiniens trouvent leur origine dans l'histoire contemporaine au début du vingtième siècle. Ces relations se sont renforcées après la naissance de l'État d'Israël en 1948 et les exodes des réfugiés palestiniens vers la Jordanie en 1948 et 1967. Les faits géographiques, sociaux, économiques et démographiques, sont des éléments qui renforcent cette relation, de même que l'annexion de la Cisjordanie par le roi Abdallah en 1950. L'octroi de la nationalité aux Palestiniens en 1950 a donné une naissance «juridique » à cette relation dans l'aspect territorial et humain. La décision de désengagement en 1988 met fin à l'aspect territorial, une étape qui a été décisive dans la lutte palestinienne. Notre recherche consiste à suivre les évolutions des relations entre la Jordanie et les Palestiniens, les processus de paix dans la région, et la naissance d'un État palestinien requièrent un réexamen de cette relation au bénéfice des deux parties.
