This thesis is entitled : « Lebanon and the Euro-Méditerranean agreement concepts and applications”. It aims at enhancing our understanding of the implications of the Euro-Mediterranean agreement to the development of the southern Mediterranean economies. What renders this subject highly important is the key role that the agricultural sector plays in the economies of Europe’s partners to the south of the Mediterranean Sea. The study at hand follows a deductive approach proceeding from the general to the specific, and is divided into three main parts. The first sheds a light on the Euro-mediterranean legal and institutional framework. The second part examines the Lebanese agricultural sector while part three focuses on the production and distribution of the olive oil industry in Lebanon

Cette thèse s’intitule : « Le Liban et le partenariat Euro-méditerranéen : concepts et applications ». L’objectif est de stimuler la compréhension des conséquences du partenariat euro-méditerranéen sur le développement des économies des pays du Sud de la méditerranée. Ce qui donne de l’importance à ce sujet est le rôle-clé que joue l’agriculture dans les économies des partenaires de l’Europe situés au sud de la mer méditerranée. L’étude en question suit une approche de déduction allant du général au particulier. Celle-ci est divisée en trois principales parties : la première partie donne un aperçu du cadre institutionnel du partenariat (euro-méditerranéen). La deuxième partie étudie le secteur agricole libanais, alors que la troisième partie se focalise sur l’industrie, la production et la distribution de l’huile d’olive au Liban.
