This research aims to identify and to analyse the foundations and the impact of management by projects in the organizations. An action research was led in the french post-mail conducing to propound a conceptual analysis and to build some tools in order to implement efficiently management by projects. The use of grounded theory and "ago-antagonist abalysis" permitted to identidy the running dynamics and to suggest a definition of management by projects. Its main characteristics were delimited and generated a three-level analysis : instrumental, political and cognitive levels. This in-depth investigation of management by projects seems to be more useful with multi-referential process. Some fields for further investigation were also suggested.

Cette recherche se donne pour but d'identifier et d'analyser les fondements et l'impact du management par projets dans les organisations. Une recherche-action a ete menee au sein de la poste, permettant d'en proposer une analyse conceptuelle et d'elaborer certains outils indispensables a sa mise en oeuvre efficace. L'utilisation de la "grounded theory" et de l'analyse ago-antagoniste a permis d'identifier les dynamiques en jeu et de suggerer une difinition du management par projets. Ses principales caracteristiques ont ete cernees et ont donne lieu a une lecture a trois niveaux : instrumental, politique et cognitif. L'etude approfondie du management par projets semble necessiter une demarche multi-referentielle et des pistes d'investigation ont ete explorees.
