The aim of this thesis is to analyses the organization of the great state establishments in Greece, in relation to the Baumol's law. This law is analyzed and explained in a preliminary chapter. Then, the first part is devoted to the examination of the major Greek theatrical system and its most important factors, from the ancient years until our days. A specific chapter in the first part is devoted to the examination of the principal factor of this system, the public. In the second part, the two poles of the theatrical production in Greece are deeply analyzed, the one of the national theaters and the other one of the individuals (business), from both points of view, management and artistic. Finally, in the third part a comparison between these two poles (public-private) is made, leading to certain proposals, referring to the economic development of the Greek theater

Le but de cette thèse est d'analyser le fonctionnement des différentes institutions culturelles d'état en Grèce, par rapport à la loi de Baumol. Cette dernière est analysée et expliquée dans un chapitre préliminaire. La première partie est ensuite consacrée à l'examen du système culturel grec et de ses principales composantes, depuis l'antiquité à nos jours. Un chapitre spécifique dans cette même partie est consacrée à l'examen du facteur principal de ce système, le public. Dans la deuxième partie sont analysés en détail les deux pôles de la production théâtrale en Grèce, celui des théâtres nationaux et celui des privés (commerciaux), tant au niveau de leur mode de gestion que de leur aspect artistique. Dans la troisième partie il est enfin tenté de faire la comparaison de ces deux pôles (public et privé) qui est suivie de certaines propositions concernant le développement économique du théâtre en Grèce.
