Why are successful some organizations while others fail°? Why do some organizations work properly while others cope with difficulties°? This can be explained by the organizations’ ability to adapt their strategy and structure to their environment. However, the success of organizations also depends on their ability to coordinate the collective action. At this level, in addition to the functional realities, psychosocial realities also influence the organizations’ functioning. With the help of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, our work aims at understanding the psychosocial factors which influence the functioning of organized groups. If our conclusions highlight the impact of cohesion on the coherence of organized groups, our research above all puts the emphasis on the essential role of sociability and participation on cohesion and coherence of organized groups

Pourquoi certaines organisations réussissent et d’autres échouent ? Pourquoi certaines organisations fonctionnent bien et d’autres rencontrent des difficultés ? On peut expliquer ces situations par la capacité des organisations à adapter leur stratégie et leur structure à leur environnement. Mais, la réussite des organisations dépend également de leur capacité à coordonner leur action collective. À ce niveau, à côte des réalités purement fonctionnelles, les réalités psychosociales viennent influencer le fonctionnement des organisations. À l’aide de méthodologies quantitatives et qualitatives, notre travail cherche à mieux comprendre les facteurs psychosociaux qui influencent le fonctionnement des groupes organisés. Si nos conclusions mettent en évidence l’impact de la cohésion sur la cohérence des groupes organisés, notre recherche insiste surtout sur le rôle essentiel joué par la sociabilité et la participation sur la cohésion et sur la cohérence des groupes organisés
