The world food problem will be the challenge of the twenty first century. The international organisations activitie's within the united nations system tend to promote a new alimentary order wich will consist of financing projects and establishing a new system of world food security. Theses activities are limited, on the one hand by an inadequate coordination, and the other hand by the agrarian structure and population growth. The most significant contribution of the international organisation to the issues of agricultural development lies in the promotion of food rights as a basic human rights.

Le probleme alimentaire mondial constitue le defi du xxieme siecle. L'action des organisations internationales du systeme des nations unies tend a promouvoir un nouvel ordre alimentaire mondial fonde sur le financement de projets de developpment agricole de plus en plus important et sur l'etablissement d'un systeme de securite alimentaire mondiale adequat. Cette action est limitee d'un part, par une coordination insuffisante des activites des orgaznisation internationales et, d'autre part, par les structures foncieres des systemes agricoles des pays en developpement et par la croissance demographique. L'apport de plus important des organisations internationales a la problematique du developpement agricole reside dans la promotion du droit a l'alimentation en tant que droit fondamental de l'homme.
