The scope of the present study has been limited to international public law and more precisely to the settling of international disputes relating to civil aviation, without bringing up the problem of state aircraft. The present study has been carried out over two large periods: - by theoretically examining the rules concerning the three multilateral civil aviation conventions before 1944 and the bilateral agreements of this period. - next, the conflicts and the evolving concerning the rules laid down by the settlement of international disputes of the chicago convention and the bilateral agreements after 1944, have been theoretically and practically analysed.

La portee de notre etude est limitee au droit international public et plus precisement sur le reglement des differends internationaux relatifs a l'aviation civile, sans soulever le probleme des aeronefs d'etats. Nous avons mene notre etude en deux grandes periodes : - en examinant theoriquement les regles concernant les differends dans les trois conventions multilaterales a l'aviation civile avant 1944 et les accords bilateraux dans cette epoque. - ensuite, nous avons analyse theoriquement et pratiquement les conflits et l'evolution concernant les regles prevues par le reglement des differends internationaux dans la convention de chicago et les accords bilateraux apres 1944.
