Set up in 1642 for fiscal purposes and to minimise the protestant religion, the Cour des aides et finances (aids and finances court) of Montauban undergoes the crisis of the judiciary institutions and the competition with the new agents of public offices. In the 18 th century, to restore its activity, it takes part in the wave of rebellion of the courts of law against the monarchy.

Érigés en 1642 à des fins fiscales et pour reduire la religion protestante, la Cour des aides et finances de Montauban subit la crise des institutions judiciaires et la concurrence des nouveaux agents de fonction publique. Au XVIIIe siecle, pour restaurer son activité, elle prend part au mouvement d'insubordination des cours de justice contre la monarchie.
