Our laws respect the adepts' involument, but sanction some of their behaviours. If one refers to the different legislative measures wich exist and to their application by the juridictions one notices that there is no specificity regarding the adepts of the sects. They are considered assubjects for ordinary law. Law sanctions them more than it protects them. A solution might be found in punishing the sects leaders. Meanwhile, it is very sky and often ineficient. Some were tempted in suggesting a new legislation in order to actually protect the adepts. Now, should the situation of the adepts of the sects be analysed as a juridic challenge, or as a social challenge ? An answer can be found in the idea that law musn't intervene in the intimate choices of individuals. It would seem nice that the existing measures were applied with more seriousness, a will of policy in that field starts to surface.

Notre droit respecte l'engagement des adeptes tout en sanctionnant certains de leurs comportements. Si l'on se refere aux differentes mesures legislatives existantes et a leur application par les juridictions on s'apercoit qu'aucune specificite n'est apportee aux adeptes des sectes. Ces derniers sont consideres comme des sujets de droit ordinaires. Le droit les sanctionne plus qu'il ne les protege. Une solution pourrait etre trouvee dans la repression des dirigeants, cependant elle se revele tres timide et souvent inefficace. Certains ont ete tentes de proposer une nouvelle legislation afin que soit assuree une protection reelle de l'adepte. Or la situation des adeptes des sectes doit-elle s'analyser comme un defi juridique ou comme un defi social ? Une reponse peut etre trouvee dans l'idee selon laquelle le droit n'a pas a intervenir dans les choix tres intimes des individus. Il semblerait souhaitable que les mesures existantes soient appliquees avec plus de rigueur. Une volonte politique dans ce domaine doit voir le jour.
