La transposition de la directive européenne du dix huit décembre mille neuf cent quatre vingt six, relative à la coordination des droits des états membres concernant les agents commerciaux indépendants, a conféré un véritable statut juridique à l'agent commercial au sein de l'Union européenne, notamment en France. Subsumé dans le contexte communautaire, l'agent commercial français connait des avatars de son statut fiscal, social et juridique.
