The topic of the research is in line with the geomorphology in the environment of human society. It deals with the analysis, organisation and interpretation of erosion processes in a semi-arid region for the last 10 000 years in levant, spain. The methodology consists of stratigraphic studies of sections along the river banks, carbon dating, palynologic and ceramic indentifications. This thesis is made up of three parts. The first part deals with the presentation of scientific approach and of geomorphologic, climatic and anthropic contexts. The second part gives over to holocene geomophologic processes through algeciras, librilla, murta and low-guadalentin watersheds'studies. The third part proposes an interpretation of great stage of holocene geomorphologic processes. They are due to an interaction between natural and anthropic factors.

Le theme de cette recherche se rattache a la geomorphogenese dans l'environnement des societes. Il porte sur l'analyse, la hierarchisation et la comprehension des processus d'erosion dans une region mediterraneenne semi- aride, le levant espagnol, depuis 10 000 ans. La methodologie repose sur l'analyse stratigraphique des coupes naturelles, la datation radiocarbone des temoins organiques, l'identification des pollens et l'utilisation des macrorestes archeologiques. Le plan de la these s'organise en trois parties. La premiere est consacree a la presentation du sujet, a l'identification du cadre morphologique actuel : definition de la problematique, de la demarche scientifique, presentation de l'ecosysteme actuel a pregnance anthropique. La deuxieme partie est consacree a l'identification des processus morphogenetiques holocenes a partir de l'etude des bassins versants de l'algeciras, du librilla, de la murta et du bas-guadalentin. La troisieme partie propose une explication des grandes etapes de la morphogenese holocene : grandes etapes qui sont liees a l'interaction des facteurs naturels et anthropiques.
