Le rôle de l'exploitation du phosphate dans l'organisation socio-économiques et spatiale de Ben Guerir

Ben Guerir is situated at 70 km at the north of marrakech, and at 200 km at the south-east of casablanca. Ben guerir, wich is a small town with 24. 631 inhabitants enregistrated at 1982 census, was only created at the beginning of this century. A long its breve history, ben guerir had a very moderate growth, but after the discovery of phosphate and its exploitation, we conclude that the development of the town has accelerated in time and space. This new function, "the mining function", increased its urbain population from 6. 491 inhabitants in 1971 to 24. 631 inhabitants in 1982, wich is positive emmigrative of about 13. 500 persons. The study of the rule emmigrative flow, of the residence place and of the new activity mininig, shows that the town has knonwn a urbain dynamism and that it is exercising an activity at the mesure of its size wich is corresponding to rehamna tribe, yet this space is inscribed inside the influence area of the urbain pole marrakec-el kelaa, wich ben guerir is part of.

Ben Guerir est située a 70 km au nord de Marrakech et a 200 km au sud-est de Casablanca. Il s'agit d'une petite ville ayant totalise 24. 631 habitants au recensement de 1982 et dont la création est relativement récente, puisqu'elle fut créée au début du siècle. Ben Guerir a eu tout au long de sa brève histoire une croissance très modérée, mais après la découverte du phosphate, et la mise en exploitation de cette matière, on a constate que le dynamisme de sa croissance a accéléré dans le temps et dans l'espace. Cette nouvelle fonction, "la fonction minière" a porte le nombre de sa population urbaine de 6. 491 habitants en 1971 a 24. 631 habitants en 1982, soit un solde migratoire positif d'environ 13. 500 personnes. L’étude des flux d'exode rural, du lieu de résidence et de la nouvelle activité minière, montre que la ville connaît un dynamisme urbain, et qu'elle exerce un rayonnement a la mesure de sa taille, sur un espace correspondant a la tribu rehamna. Cet espace s'inscrit cependant a l’intérieur de l'aire d'influence du pôle urbain Marrakech-el kelaa duquel se trouve Ben Guerir
