This investigation tryes througt the observation of the housing there populations built themselves, to understand the ways the mexican getting to the suburbs settle their own cultural identity. Suburbs of three towns aeras have been compared : their back grounds, differantiate by their physical, ethnical and socio-economical peculiarities, lead us to observe different ways of living in a federative political unit, the mexican country. The characteristiques of each house have been seen throught the specificities of each familly. While we were reporting the housing conceptions, their material compositions, the ways people are living in and integrate their home to the collective space, we evidenced the changing proceds of identity definitions in the suburbs.

Cette recherche tente de decrypter les modes de gestation identitaire et culturelle des banlieues mexicaines a travers l'examen des habitats qui y sont autoconstruits. Trois quartiers satellites de trois villes ont ete confrontes dans une approche comparatiste : leur appartenance a des contextes geophysiques, ethniques et socio-economiques distinctifs nous a permis d'observer, sur une meme toile de fond fournie par l'entite politique qu'est le mexique, differentes manieres d'habiter ce monde. Les caracteristiques de chaque maisonnee ont ete confrontees aux donnees spatiales de son habitat. En rapportant les modes de conception des logis, la composition materielle, et la facon dont ils sont vecus et integres a l'espace collectif, les processus de transformation de l'identite periurbaine ont ete mis en evidence.
