Le logement des maghrébins dans les quartiers anciens toulousains

A nutshell of immigration in toulouse, since the beginning of the twentieth century, is followed by a survey concerning 160 maghrebine individuals from toulouse old districts : arnaud bernard, saint-cyprien, marengo and saint-aubin. Each district has been studied separately by monography. What comes after is the methodological aspects of the survey (goals, method used) and the identification and the setting of the sample (locating and conditions of housing). The different types of lodging occupied by maghrebine population in old districts have been identified, that is to say ordinary lodgings, old buildings, furnished rooms, lodging provided by employer and hostels. The study of the different cases reveals difficulties to grasp the maghrebine population with very low incomes, bad housing, hierarchy due to nationalities, in a post-colonial situation and having to cope with residence assignment.

Un historique sur l'immigration a toulouse, depuis le debut du vingtieme siecle, est suivi d'une enquete portant sur 260 individus maghrebins des quartiers anciens toulousains. L'enquete s'est deroulee principalement dans les quartiers anciens suivants : arnaud bernard, saint-cyprien, marengo et saint-aubin. Chacun de ces quartiers a ete etudie separement sous forme de vignette. Viennent ensuite, les aspects methodologiques de l'enquete (objectifs, methodes utilisees), ainsi que l'identification et le lieu de vie de l'echantillon (localisation et conditions de logement). Les differents types de logements occupes par les maghrebins enquartiers anciens ont ete identifies, a savoir les logements ordinaires, les immeubles vetustes, les garnis et hotels-meubles, les logements assures par l'employeur et les foyers-hotels. La problematique fait apparaitre des difficultes pour cerner la population maghrebine a revenus tres bas, mal-logee, hierarchisee suivant les nationalites, en situation post-coloniale et subissant l'assignation a residence.
