This research is based on the experience of a wokshop of pictural expression operated between 1970 and 1986. This kind of methodology brings out the contradiction between expression and institution. The educational device materialises this through a reversal ritual. The questions concern the access to the field (cultural and proximity involvement of the observer), the building of research work from the author's personal experience gathered in an expression workshop. The analysis also relies on the contributions of anthropology (the problem of primitivism) and prehistoric archeology, concerning the rather controversial question of drawings "invariant" through time and space.

Cette recherche porte sur une experience d'atelier d'expression picturale entre 1970 et 1986. Ce type de pedagogie manifeste la contradiction entre expression et institution. Le dispositif educatif la concretise par un rituel d'inversion. Les interrogations portent sur l'acces au terrain (proximite culturelle et implications de l'observateur), sur la construction de la recherche a partir d'une experience personnelle de l'auteur dans un atelier d'expression. L'analyse s'appuie egalement sur les apports de l'anthropologie (le probleme du primitivisme) et de l'archeologie prehistorique, concernant la question tres controversee des traces "invariants" dans le temps et dans l'espace.
