The one who tries to find the sense of a word gets it with the help of its "roots". In the same way, the sense of a human being's life is to be read from its roots. For the person who isn't aware of them, or who occultes them, the origin will generate a loss of meaning, disturbing his placing in a plural story, which at the same time, precedes, anticipates, transcends and keeps him going. So, the classical and flat oedipian triangulation is endowed with a vertical dimension, which confers it a pyramidal volume containing the "family uncounscious", and on the sides of which the words of the "family legend" are writen - as on a palimpsest - just as not mentally assimilated traces, left by the previous generations and transmissible as they are. But, facing this "psychical legacy", the individuals are differently divided : there are those who are separated from their previous story, nay lose it (foster placement); those who retire within themselves or exclude themselves (autism or serious psychosis); those who "double" it (incest). Examples will be studied (through conversations, reconstitutions of stories, g. Trees), and compared with check samples. In all these cases a transmission takes place, through "hollowed" (lacks, failures, absences), or "overfull" (traumatisms, shames, secrets, denials of mournings). But it's the reappropriaction of the collective part of his story by everyone, which will grant him his potential autonomisation in relation to those who preceded and named him, allowing his personal position in the generations.

Celui qui cherche le sens d'un mot le decouvre a l'aide de ses "racines". De meme, le sens de la vie d'un individu se donne-t-il a lire a partir de ses racines. Pour qui les ignore ou les occulte, l'origine se figera sur une perte de sens, perturbant son placement dans une histoire plurielle qui a la fois le precede, l'anticipe, le transcende et le perpetue. La classique et plate triangulation oedipienne est donc dotee d'une troisieme dimension verticale, qui lui confere un volume pyramidal contenant l'"inconscient familial", et sur les parois duquel s'inscrivent les mots de la "legende familiale"- comme sur un palimpseste - sous forme de traces non mentalisees deposees par les generations precedentes - et transmissibles en l'etat. Mais vis-a-vis de cet "heritage psychique", les individus se repartissent differement : il y a ceux qui sont depares de leur histoire anterieure, voire la perdent (placement familial); ceux qui s'y ferment ou s'en excluent (l'autisme ou la psychose grave); ceux qui la "redoublent" (l'inceste). Des exemples en seront etudies (etayes par des entretiens, reconstitutions d'histoires, arbres g. ), comparativement a des temoins. Dans tous les cas une transmission se fait, mais en "creux" (manques, ratages, absences), ou en "trop plein" (traumatismes, hontes, secrets, deni des deils). Mais c'est la reappropriation de la part collective de son histoire par chacun, qui sera le garant de son autonomisation potientielle par rapport a ceux qui l'ont precede et nome, autorisant sa prise de position personnelle dans l'ordre des generations.
