This research project deals with the repercussions of the war (1975- 1991) on beirut city. It describes and analyses the urban, social and economic mutations which occured at beirut during the years of war. This project comprises two main divisions. The first highlights the various changes in the infrastructure and the functions of beirut. The second describes and analyses the reconstraction of the city after 1991.

Ce projet de recherche porte sur les repercussions de la guerre (1975-1991) sur la ville de beyrouth. Il decrit et analyse les mutations urbaines, sociales et economiques survenues a beyrouth au cours de ces annees de guerre. Il comporte deux divisions principaux ; la premiere met l'accent sur les differents changements dans l'infrastructure et les fonctions de la ville ; la deuxieme decrit et analyse la reconstruction de la ville a partir de 1991.
