As a place for (self) identification, the group is the basic social unit of collective life. During adolescence, a time of development to maturity of the individual's personal structuring, it takes on a primordial character. The sociometric study of two groups of rural teenagers allows the diachronistic comparaison of the evolution of the structuration of groups. It shows the essential and active role of social moments in socio-emotional interrelations. Variety and creativity are the two elements of the personal development of the individual. It is the reasoned management of (this) variety, through the creativity developed by the individual, which allows him to achievehis self-development. The education system which incorporates alternation, given the best results by the group living in the education environment, lets the individual act. Acting in a group is for him the source of self-referring. His group behaviour) creativity which expresses his capacity for social adaptation leading to his (social) insertion. The coming and going of the alternation system is the motor which drives normative adjustments which determine the bases of socio-personal development. Lieu d'identification, le groupe, est l'unite sociale de base de la vie collective. Lors de l'adoslescence, periode maturante de la structuration personnelle de l'individu, il revet un caractere primordial. L'etude sociometrique de dexu groupes de jeunes adolescents ruraux, permet la comparaison diachronique de l'evolution des structurations groupales. Elle revele le role actif essentiel des moments sociaux a interrelations socio-affectives. Variete et creativite, sont les deux elements du developpement auto-personnel. C'est la gestion raisonnee de la variete, par la creativite developpee par l'individu, qui l'autorise a s'auto-developper. Le systeme pedagogique d'alternance, optimise par le groupe en internat educatif, permet a l'individu d'agir. Son "agi groupal" est source de creativite auto-referenciatrice, qui traduit sa possible adaptation sociale d'insertion. Le va et vient de l'alternance est le "moteur" des ajustements normatifs qui fixent les bases du developpement sociopersonnel. L'integration progressive et raisonnee du jeune a la societe au travers du systeme educatif, est ainsi l'objectif premier des maisons familiales rurales.
