Les manuels d'espagnol et l'enseignement de la civilisation (1986-1995) : discours et savoirs scolaires dans le second cycle

The general introduction gives a survey of the research in the field of the teaching of Spanish civilisation up to 1986 and examines the important points regarding official instructions for the 1986 - 1995 decade the first part corresponds to the quantitative analyses of the different material contained in the textbooks devoted to the teaching of Spanish in secondary education published between 1986 and 1985. The new types of documents (videos, advertisements and the increasingly present visual documents) combine with the more traditional ones (texts from 20th century writers above all and extracts from the press). The textbooks give equal importance to Spain and Hispanic America. The second part focuses on the study of the content of the textbooks. Their main feature is the evolution of the Hispanic world in the course of the 20th century from an historical, social and economic point of view not to forget the political and cultural angles. The elements of the past which have been included have a link with the present and occupy a limited space. Finally, the last part enables us to bring to light the prevailing ideology of these 26 textbooks. A relationship of trust is established between the teacher and the learner. Pupils are encouraged to adapt to s000ociety and to benefit from the advantages of the modern world yet the dangers and damaging effects of the consumer society are not hidden from them. Generosity, altruism and freedom of thought are the principal values of this human and humanistic educational method

L'introduction générale fait le point sur les recherches dans le domaine de l'enseignement de la civilisation hispanique jusqu'a 1986 et examine les points importants des instructions officielles pour la décennie 1986 - 1995. La première partie correspond a l'analyse quantitative des différents supports contenus dans les manuels d'espagnol de second cycle publies entre 1986 et 1995. Les nouveautés (vidéo, publicité, importance croissante de l'iconographie) s'ajoutent aux documents traditionnels (les textes des écrivains du XXe siècle surtout, la presse). Les ouvrages se divisent équitablement entre Espagne et Amérique hispanique. La seconde partie est consacrée à l'étude des contenus. L'évolution historique, sociale, politique, économique, culturelle du monde hispanique au cours du XXe siècle est le trait dominant de cette génération de manuels. Les éléments du passé retenus ont un lien avec le présent et occupent une place restreinte. Enfin, la dernière partie permet de dégager l'idéologie dominante des 26 ouvrages. Une relation de confiance s'établit entre l'enseignant et l'apprenant. On souhaite que l'élève s'adapte à la société et bénéficie des avantages du monde moderne sans lui cacher les dangers et les méfaits de la société de consommation. La générosité, l'altruisme, la liberté d'opinion sont les principales valeurs de cette pédagogie humaine et humaniste
