For a few years now, we have been thinkingt that parents' participation in preschool as a co-educational action of education, can constitue one bias against school failure. The bibliographie analysis shows the important weight of parents' socioprofessional classes in their participation. Our work consists in researching of the weight of others variables. We have observed one thousand nineteen prescolarised children's mothers and we have analysed the relation between family characteristics and representations by the mother of her relation with school, using factor analysis. The results have shown the specific place occupied by the mother's experiences, her psychological maturity in her representations of the school.

Depuis quelques annees, on pense que la participation des parents a l' ecole maternelle peut constituer un des moyens de prevention contre l'echec scolaire. L'analyse bibliographique fait apparaitre le poids des categories socio-professionnelles des parents dans la participation ou non de ceux-ci. Nous etudierons le poids d'autres variables. Nous avons observe cent dix neuf meres d'enfants prescolarises et nous avons analyse la relation entre des caracteristiques familiales et les representations, par la mere de ses rapports avec l'ecole en utilisant les analyses factorielles des correspondances. Les resultats ont mis en evidence la place specifique occupee par les prerequis de la mere, sa maturite psychologique dans ses representations de l'ecole.
