Highlighting the role of the informal sector in the economies of sub-saharian africa and of the training in and for this sector calls two distinct levels of analysis, each of them being dealt with in a specific section of this study. The different theoretical interpretations of informal activities, the assessment of their contribution and of their limits allow us, after having situated the economic context in which the is develops, to analyse the essential role played by informal activities in subsaharian africa, and in particular their importance in the city of bangui. The study of the dynamics of training within informal units brings to light the educational role of the is. All activities taken together, the demand for apprenticeship on the job is on the rise, not so much in commerce and traditional handicraft, but rather centered on new trades. We must take into account the relationships between the school system and the training outside the school. A good policy of elimination of illiteracy and basic education is necessary for the is actors. Professional and technical training is an important component of aid to the is. It is conditioned by an organisation of trades and a gathering into groups of handicraftsmen. Given the different situations, we may claim that the training actions in favour of the is must take into account the interests of the different parties. In fact it will be an assisted self-training of the different actors.

La mise en evidence du role du secteur informel dans les economies d'afrique subsaharienne et de la formation dans et pour ce secteur renvoie a deux niveaux d'analyse distincts, chacun faisant l'objet d'une partie specifique. Les differentes interpretations theoriques des activites informelles, l'evaluation de leurs apports et de leurs limites nous permettent apres avoir situe le contexte economique dans lequel evolue le s. I. , d'analyser le role essentiel que jouent les activites informelles en afrique subsaharienne, et en particulier leur importance dans la ville de bangui l'etude, de la dynamique de la formation au sein des unites informelles nous eclaire sur le role formateur du s. I. Toutes activites confondues, la tendance est a l'accroissement de la demande d'apprentissage sur le tas ; celle-ci est nettement plus faible dans les activites de commerce et d'artisanat traditionnel, et se concentre essentiellement vers les metiers nouveaux. Les relations entre le systeme de formation scolaire et la formation extra-scolaire doivent etre prises en compte : une bonne politique d'alphabetisation et d'education de base est indispensable pour des acteurs du s. I. La formation professionnelle et technique constitue un volet important de l'aide au s. I. Elle passe par une organisation des metiers et un regroupement des artisans. Vu les differentes situations, nous pouvons avancer que les actions de formation en faveur du s. I. Doivent prendre en compte les interets des parties en presence. Il s'agira donc d'une autoformation assistee des differents acteurs.
