In 1982, within the context of the reforms undertaken in the name of decentralization in france, the economic intervention apparatus provided to local governments was strengthened in order to enable them to more strongly influence the fabric of small and medium-sized enterprises. In regard to implementation of these interventions, the french apparatus shows a certain number of similarities with the "german model", notably in regard to abilities and spheres of intervention. As to the effectiveness of the system in france, however, the financial resources committed and their distribution among local governments, as well as the different methods used in allocating financial aids, do not permit the realization of the high results obtained in the f. R. G.

En 1982, dans le cadre des reformes engagees au titre de la decentralisation en france, le dispositif d'intervention economique des collectivites territoriales a ete renforce pour permettre a ces dernieres de mieux agir sur le tissu des petites et moyennes entreprises. En ce qui concerne l'organisation et la mise en oeuvre de ces interventions, le dispositif francais presente un certain nombre d'analogies avec le "modele allemand", notamment en matiere de competences et de domaines d'intervention. Cependant, a propos de l'efficacite du systeme en france, les moyens financiers engages et leur repartition entre collectivites territoriales, ainsi que des modalites differentes d'attribution des aides, ne permettent pas d'obtenir des resultats aussi eleves qu'en r. F. A.
