Can we possibly theorize a relation between the evolution of educational structures and that of professional ones ? most of the economic and sociological researches on education have developped without demonstrating that such a connexion exists. So that the central and universal debate upon the inadequacy of training to fit jobs might become useless if such a relation ever proved fictitions. Practically, the tunisian experience seems to deny immediate, long term and stables links between school standards, qualification and salaries. Even if some developped countries, such as france, have experienced successful connection between schooling and production, the latters only happened under particular curcumstances and in branches of industry for which specific training is required. The independance of schooling, especially from an economical point of view, might well give rise to an ever-lasting search of an hypothetical relation between training and employment. Education is a social practice which follows many more dictates than just these of economy and economists.

Ecole et emploi en tunisie : en deca et au dela de l'economie de l'education. Est-il possible de theoriser une relation entre l'evolution des structures educatives et celle des structures professionnelles ? l'essentiel de la litterature economique et sociologique sur l'education, s'est developpe sans administrer la preuve de l'existence de cette relation. Ainsi le debat central et universel sur l'inadequation des formations aux emplois sera sans objet si cette relation s'avere fictive. A la lumiere de l'experience tunisienne, les faits semblent attester l'absence de rapports durables, stables et immediats entre les niveaux scolaires, les qualifications et les salaires. Meme l'experience des pays industriels tels que la france, confirme que le rapprochement entre l'ecole et la production n'a ete circonstancie, et n'a concerne que les filieres directement articulees sur le systeme d'emploi. L'autonomie de l'ecole vis-a-vis de l'economie notamment, risque de susciter pour longtemps la recherche d'une relation formation - emploi introuvable. L'education est une pratique sociale necessairement multidimensionnelle pour se soumettre a la seule logique de l'economie et de l'economiste.
