Le modèle de substitution des exportations logique et facteurs de croissance : le cas de la Tunisie

This thesis, aims to draw up a summary of the Tunisian policy of industrial export substitution since 1970, and to assess its impact on the economic growth of the country. More specifically it studies the transmission of the growth of the export sector to the internal economy, and develops the direct and indirect effects on the Tunisian economy through the analysis of the mechanisms that are the foundation of this transmission. It also examines the notion of integrate effects. This study consists in empirical analysis in macro-economic terms and in an evaluation through empirical tests of the relationship between exports and economic growth. These tests only establish a relationship but do not explain the mechanisms which it is based on. This explains the recourse to the measure of the integration effects through the use of the instruments of national accounting (T. E. S and T. E. I. ). In order to have a complete view, we have examined the causes of the lack of competitiveness of Tunisian products. We referred to different methods of evaluation of the effective protection.

La présente thèse de doctorat dresse un bilan de la politique de substitution d'exportations industrielles engagée par la Tunisie depuis 1970 et d'évaluer son impact sur la croissance économique de ce pays. Il s'agit d'appréhender l'aspect transmission de la croissance par le biais de la substitution des exportations et d'en dégager les effets directs et indirects sur l'économie tunisienne, en insistant sur la notion d'effets d'intégration. L'approche méthodologique comporte une analyse empirique en termes macro-économiques en se référant a l'évolution des grands agrégats qui sous-tendent la politique économique en vigueur, et une évaluation de la relation entre exportations et croissance économique par l'étude des effets d'entrainement à travers le T. E. S. Et le T. E. I. Pour compléter le diagnostic, des méthodes d'appréciation de la protection effective et celles relatives aux indices de spécialisation des exportations tunisiennes, ont été utilisées afin de cerner le degré de compétitivité de ces dernières.
