The development of exchanges among developing countries and the emergence of the new industrial countries (nic) exporting manufactured products are among the main transformations which have characterized the evolution of the international division of labour for the last two decades. The analysis of south-south exchanges and the search of their causes do not lead to a questioning of the structure of international trade flows nor of their theoritical explanation. Howewer, the analysis allows at the quantitative level a better integration of a number of developing countries in the world trade and from a theoritical viewpoint a better explanation of south-south specialization and exchanges founded on the concept of regional comparative advantage. Applied in the regional frame of latin america and more precisely of the latinamerican integration association (laia), the analysis deals with the empirical testing of econometric indicators and models linked to the variables of the regional comparative advantage as a concept and as a determining factor of the regional specialization as well as the intra and inter-regional south-south exchanges.

Le développement des courants d'échanges entre pvd et l'émergence des npi exportateurs de produits manufactures sont parmi les principales transformations qui ont marque l'évolution de la division internationale du travail depuis ces deux dernières décennies. L'analyse des échanges sud-sud et la recherche de leurs déterminants ne conduisent pas a une remise en cause de la structure des flux d'échanges internationaux ni de leurs explications théoriques. En revanche, elles permettent quantitativement une meilleure insertion d'un certain nombre de pvd dans le commerce mondial et d'un point de vue théorique une meilleure explication de la spécialisation et des échanges sud-sud en se fondant notamment sur le concept de l'avantage comparatif régional. Appliquée dans le cadre régional de l'Amérique latine et plus précisément de l'association latino-américaine d'intégration (Aladi), l'analyse a pour but la vérification empirique des indicateurs et modèles économétriques portant sur les composantes de l'avantage comparatif régional en tant que concept et comme déterminant de la spécialisation régionale et des échanges sud-sud intra et inter régionaux.
