RESEARCH, the anthropological foundation of the Court of Assizes - Crown Court (GB) ; District Courts (US) - and related academic subjects. Ethnogarphical description. Emergence of anthropological fields. PRESENTATION OF THE RESEARCH, within juridical anthropology. All time first insight into the ethnographical aspect of the jurisdiction. Anthropological characteristics : the oral character ; the jury ; the conviction. Hypothesis : conviction does not express amere form of subjectivity ; it is based on tangible elements. ETHNOGRAPHICAL DESCRIPTION, ethnographical perspectives related to legal texts. Description of a criminal hearing. DEMONSTRATION OF THE THEORY, Construction of the hypothesis based on the metaphor of the laboratory with the emergence of a truth from the facts. Speech as an instrument in the search for truth. Demostration around three points : preliminary conditions to the emergence of a truth ; contribution of speech in the search for a truth ; permanent features that help build a conviction. RECHERCHE : champ disciplinaire et fondements anthropologiques de la cour d'assises. Description ethnographique. Emergence des champs anthropologiques. PRESENTATION DE LA RECHERCHE : au sein de l'anthropologie juridique. Caractère ethnographie de la juridiction appréhendé pour la première fois. Caractéristiques anthropologiques : oralité ; le jury ; l'intime conviction. Hypothèse : l'intime conviction n'exprime pas qu'une forme de subjectivité, des éléments tangibles la fondent. DESCRIPTION ETHNOGRAPHIQUE : perspective ethnographique reliée aux textes juridiques. Description d'une audience criminelle type. DEMONSTRATION DE L'HYPOTHESE : construction de l'hypothèse à partir de la métaphore du laboratoire avec émergence d'une vérité à partir des faits. La parole, instrument qui contribue à la recherche de la vérité.
