Our thesis is that taylorism was based on the worker adherence. Taylorian methods have organized the integration of the workers in the new postwar economic configuration in france. These methods included and still include concrete mechanisms of local and informal transactions, mechanisms that we have appointed micronegociations. In the taylorisation is constitued a real taylorian rule which cannot be described as mechanical productive order. Taylorian methods have modified the sense of the work and the social and economic insertion of a large part of the activ e population. Far from being refused by workers, the "taylorism" has become one symbol of the progress. Far from being an authoritative and deskilling model, it has been constructed and perceived as a positive rule, which gives protection and security to workers. It has allowed to displace objects of social conflicts, through activiti es of new"technicians", the taylorian organizers. Their roles and practices are forgotten in thesis on taylorism. It is nevertheless their actions that explain its economic, social and cultural efficiency. Without a more relevant vision of what has represented and still represents the "taylorism", those who want to break with it risk to reproduce it. . . Or to exacerbate its negative aspects they condemn.

Notre these est que le taylorisme etait fonde sur l'adhesion ouvriere. Les methodes tayloriennes ont organise l'integration des personnels ouvriers dans la nouvelle configuration economique de l'apres-guerre en france. Ces methodes incluaient et incluent toujours des mecanismes concrets de transactions locales et informelles, mecanismes que nous avons nommes micronegociations. Dans la taylorisation se constitue une veritable regle taylorienne dont il ne peut etre rendue compte comme ordre productif mecanique. Les methodes tayloriennes ont modifie le sens meme du travail et l'insertion economique et sociale d'une grande partie de la population active. Loin d'etre refuse par les ouvriers, le "taylorisme" est devenu l'un des symboles du progres. Loin d'etre un modele autoritaire et dequalifiant, il s'est constitue en regle positive, protectrice et securisante. Il a permis de deplacer les objets de conflits sociaux, a travers les activites de nouveaux "techniciens", les organisateurs tayloriens. Les roles et les pratiques de ceux-ci sont oublies dans les theses sur le taylorisme. C'est pourtant par leurs actions que s'explique son efficacite economique, sociale et culturelle. Faute d'une vision plus pertinente de ce qu'a represente et represente encore le "taylorisme", ceux qui veulent en sortir risquent bien de le reproduire. . . Ou d'en exacerber les aspects negatifs qu'ils condamnent.
