This thesis deals with the Russian emigration in France from 1917 to 1991. Using an ethnobiographic approach, it analyses the stakes of the transmission through the generations and the identity of the Russian settlement in Nice, Paris and Bussy-en-Othe. The aim of this work is to describe the basics particular to all of the three waves of Russian emigration and its own characteristics. This research concentrates on the sociological portrait of those three migratory groups, through their cultural roots, which has determined their community integration across the space and temporal changes. It points out the own transmission systems of these groups whose arrival at different decades induced a distinct behaviour in the ritualized practices and the process of the social transmission.

Cette thèse traite de l'émigration russe en France entre 1917 et 1991. Elle analyse, en retenant l'approche ethnobiographique, les enjeux de la transmission intergénérationnelle et l'identité des regroupements communautaires russes à Nice, Paris et Bussy-en-Othe. L'originalité de ce travail est de montrer les universaux propres aux trois vagues d'émigration russe et les spécificités relatives à chacune d'entre elles. Cette étude établit le portrait sociologique des trois groupes migratoires, par le biais des ancrages mémoriels, qui a conditionné les formes de la recomposition d'un espace de l'entre-soi à travers la variable spatiale et temporelle. Elle examine aussi les mécanismes de la transmission propres à chacune de ces émigrations dont l'arrivée à des époques différentes a induit une attitude distincte dans les pratiques ritualisées et dans le processus de la transmission sociale.
