The traditionnal approach of technical progress in economics can no longer be applied if technological change is considered, not only as innovations but, as new technologies. This work substitutes a new approach of technological change in economics, to the diffusion of innovations. This approach is based on the new technologies industrialization process and associates two particular moments : the emergence of new technologies and their industrialization. In the first part, the concept of new technology is introduced and a specific study of the historic phenomenon of their emergence is presented. It is a dynamic phenomenon which takes place at the interface of three systems : the scientific system, the technical system and the system of social demand. The second part is dedicated to the development of a framework for the analysis of the industrialization movement of new technologies. This attempt is developped in an industrial economics perspective and ends up with the definition of the industrialization movement as the movement of resolution of the incompatibility which appears between the dynamics of technical "filieres" and the dynamics of industries. It results in the constitution of new processes of production. On these bases, different perspectives for the industrialization of optical fibres in the futures are identified.

S'appuyant sur un examen critique des approches traditionnelles du progres technique par la diffusion des innovations, cette these propose un autre mode de representation des changements technologiques en economie : l'industrialisation des nouvelles technologies. Celuici associe deux moments particuliers, l'emergence des nouvelles technologies et leur industrialisation. Demontrant d'abord la pertinence du concept de nouvelles technologies pour rendre compte du processus historique d'apparition des fibres optiques, la premiere partie de cette these presente une conception specifique de l'emergence des nouvelles technologies a l'intersection de trois dynamiques systemiques: scientifique, technique et liee a la demande sociale. L'analyse s'oriente, dans une seconde partie, vers une tentative d'integration de la problematique de l'industrialisation au sein du champ theorique de l'economie industrielle. Elle debouche sur un essai de conceptualisation des mouvements d'industrialisation des nouvelles technologies en tant que mouvements de mise en compatibilite entre dynamique des filieres techniques et dynamiques des industries, aboutissant a la constitution de nouveaux proces de production. L'integration des donnees du reel au schema theorique propose permet ensuite, l'identification de differents scenarios d'avenir pour le mouvement d'industrialisation des fibres optiques.
