The aim of this study is to show the importance for the composition of the hoggar people, meeting between great camel driver nomads and hunters-goat breeders ali berber, of the great transsaharian trade between the moghrib and west africa. The study pays special attention to the part of the hawwara, founders of the transsaharian trade network dependent on the lbadi sect, of whom the migration starting in the 8th century from cyrenaica and tripolitain leads at the begining of the 14th century to the foundation of haggar in the present meaning. But it shows also the dynamism, till today, of the goat breeders kel ulli and, in the last period, of the groups of sudanese origin inside the hoggar.

L'objet de l'etude est de montrer l'importance pour la constitution du peuple du hoggar, rencontre entre grands chameliers et chasseurs-eleveurs caprins tous berberes, du grand commerce transsaharien entre le maghreb et l'afrique occidentale. L'etude attire particulierement l'attention sur le role des hawwara, fondateurs du reseau de commerce transsaharien relevant de la secteibadite, dont la migration partant au 8eme siecle de cyrenaique et de tripolitaine aboutit au debut du 14eme siecle a la fondation du hoggar dans son acceptation actuelle. Mais elle montre aussi le dyna misme, jusqu'a aujourd'hui, des kel ulli eleveurs de chevres et, dans la derniere periode, celui des groupes d'origine soudanaise au sein du hoggar.
