This study explores the diversity of forms of exchange among the Yucuna indians of the Colombian Amazon. By considering both language and specific traits of the institutions that determine them, the autor redefine the notion of "speech" as a concept to analyse social facts. Thus speech is seen as a mode of expression, which is then extended to other fiels than only linguistics : conducts, tasks, reciprocal gifts (meals, drinks, cigarettes), etc. Exchanges are analyzed following three complementary approaches : as (generalized) speech acts (J. L. Austin ; J. R. Searle), as interaction between subjets, and as contextually determined. . .

Cette étude explore la diversité des formes d'échange chez les Indiens Yucuna d'Amazonie colombienne. Prenant en compte le langage et les spécificités des institutions qui les déterminent, l'auteur redéfinit la notion de "parole" pour l"utiliser comme concept fondateur dans l'analyse des faits sociaux. Ce faisant, il pose les fondements d'un modèle théorique potentiellement susceptible d'être appliqué à n'importe quelle forme d'́échange. Quel que soit le mode d'expression des sujets parlants (langue, conduites, exécution des tâches, services, dons d'objets, etc. ), les échanges sont analysés selon trois points de vue systématiques : comme actes de paroles (J. L. Austin ; J. R. Searle), comme interactions entre sujets, et comme participant d'un contexte social particulier. . .
