Abstract EN:

This work is divided into three sections: in the first part, the influence of western ecclesiastical educational models on greek ecclesiastical education. In order to influence the greeks, western missionaries tried to highlight the educational systems similar to their own, which had consequences that are still felt today. Ecclesiastical education still suffers the consequences of the european models even though their implantation took place over a century ago. The second part is consecrated to the description of greek society which is characterized by radical changes such as secularization. Those influences on greek ecclesiastical life are examined since their consequences have deprived the later of its specificity and identity. In the third part, the determining factors concerning the schooling of students in ecclesiastical schools and the poor results of their studies are explained by examining the dates and places of birth of the seminarists as well as their geographical origin and environment.

Ce travail est divise en trois sections : dans la premiere partie est examinee l'influence des modeles ecclesio-educatifs occidentaux sur l'education ecclesiastique grecque. En effet, afin d'avoir une influence sur le peuple grec, les missionnaires occidentaux ont essaye de mettre en valeur des systemes educatifs semblables aux leurs, ce qui a eu des consequences qui se font encore sentir de nos jours. L'education ecclesiastique souffre encore des consequences de ces modeles europeens, et ceci, quoiqu'ils aient ete implantes il y a plus d'un siecle. La seconde partie est consacree a une description de la societe grecque qui se caracterise par des changements radicaux, telle la secularisation. L'influence de ceux-ci sur la vie ecclesiale grecque est examinee, puisque leurs consequences ont prive cette derniere de sa specificite et de son identite. Dans la troisieme partie, sont exposes les facteurs qui determinent la scolarite des jeunes dans les ecoles ecclesiastiques et le faible rendement de leurs etudes a partir de l'examen des lieux et dates de naissance des seminaristes, ainsi que de leurs milieux d'origine geographique.
