This thesis comprises four parts : in the first part, I will study and present the genesis of the 1732 rules and constitutions of the Lebanese Maronite order, their founding fathers, their contents, the hermeneutical of said documents, in order to better assess their sources in its originality, as well as a textual comparison with other rules and constitutions. In the second part, I will present the authority in the 1732 rules and constitutions of the Lebanese Maronite order, I will research successively its context, its historical origin, its establishment and its nature, then its mechanisms, with their various modalities : collective and individual, in their interference on central, regional and local levels, - then its dynamism, its internal interaction, its structuration and restructuration's possibility -, finally, its relationship with the outside authorities : ecclesial and civic. In the third part, I will study the administration in the Lebanese Maronite order, in its conception and its contents according to 1732 rules and constitutions. I will differentiate the administrative bodies and their roles; I will look thoroughly at the administration in its five sectors: the system of religious formation, the couvent, the spiritual life with the pastoral and educational undertakings, the assets and the justice.

Cette thèse comprend quatre parties: dans la première, j'étudie la genèse des règles et des constitutions de 1732 de l'ordre libanais maronite, une idée sur les constituants, un expose du contenu, une étude herméneutique de ces documents afin de connaitre leurs sources et leur originalité, une comparaison textuelle avec les autres règles et constitutions. Dans la deuxième, je présente l'autorité dans l'ordre libanais maronite d'après les constitutions de 1732, en examinant successivement le contexte, l'origine historique, son établissement et sa nature; puis, ses mécanismes, ses niveaux et ses sortes : collective et individuelle sur le plan central, régional et local; puis son dynamisme, son interaction intérieure, sa structure et la possibilité de sa restructuration; enfin, ses relations avec l'extérieur, avec les autres autorités ecclésiastiques et civiles. Dans la troisième, j'étudie la question de l'administration dans l'ordre dans sa conception et ses contenus d'après les constitutions de 1732. Je distingue entre organes et fonctions administratives et j'étudie l'administration selon cinq secteurs : le système administratif de la formation du religieux, l'administration du couvent, l'administration de la vie spirituelle, le travail pastoral et éducationnel, l'administration des biens temporels et l'administration de la justice.
